If you didn’t already know, Jim Courier was elected as Davis Cup Captain last year. Jim is undoubtedly and doggedly one of the best the game has ever seen and one of the few pro circuit retirees whom has stayed active in so many aspects of tennis. His personality has been so prevalent at the court level, not only in the press box. If you haven’t had a chance to go to a Davis Cup event stateside, you should do so if possible. If nothing else, you will get to see Americans play throughout the entire event.
Congratulations to North Carolina, Winston Salem more specifically, for being chosen for ATP World Tour Event, the work-up tournament to the US Open. Winston, as the natives refer to it so endearingly, is a beautiful town and has hosted other pro tennis events in recent past.
Speaking of North Carolina, we are waiting to hear from Jim Courier and his gang at InsideOut to see if they will be having a Champions Series event at Palisades in Charlotte this year. We are also teasing them with the notion of having an event in Charleston in the coming years.
If you are interested in having different spectator experience at a professional tournament in your city or town, please go to InsideOut to learn more and let them know or give us your thoughts at Contact Us.
