Okay, so I haven't done a live blog just yet, but I hope this a fantastic match whereas I don't find myself repeating what we all know about these two tennis legends, particularly when on opposite sides of the court.
It's dificult not to appreciate either of them as tennis players for what they bring to the game, but somehow most everyone I have ever met has a strong preference for one over the other.
Okay, 4-2 Sampras, and Agassi looks like he is is finding his groove. 5-2 now and experience tells me Agassi will not capture this first set, but he'll having more to offer in the second. Perhaps not enough, but this is a 3 set match. Who knows?
There he goes - not as quick as he once was, but Agassi is jumping that first serve again. Ouch, Sampras hasn't forgotten how to serve and volley - nice feel for the ball at the net.
Set done: 6-3 Sampras. Pete still has what it takes at the net to put away the winner.
Alrighty then, Pete is breaking out one of the best serves in tennis history, exactly when he needs to. Of course, he does remind me of me at the net - Ha.
Wow, Andre's first break. Something's going on. I don't know what, but it's happening.
One of the worst times Andre could have chosen Pete's forehand.
It seems like Agassi loosened up enough to quit driving the ball and use full strokes.
There appears to be some hesitation or poor shot selection on Agassi's behalf, when he has the potential winning shot at hand.
Is Pete going to respond and make this even more difficult for Agassi?
Well, Agassi beat himself on that last game and now Pete is serving for the set and match.
Couldn't Pete please tank this set and they hammer this out in the third?
No way. Pete did it the way he usually does.
