Okay. I don’t
dislike cats. I have had four in my adult years, but they don’t take to tennis
like dogs do.
Dogs almost
innately get excited about any tennis ball in their vicinity. Of course, if the
tennis ball is moving, it becomes quite a bit more interesting. Dogs seem to go well with
tennis balls.
One may throw
another round object near their favorite Labrador Retriever and he or she may
simply glance up at you as if you thought you just discovered dirt. But, if you
toss a tennis ball, then it is game on.
Cats, well I don’t
know. I appreciate cats for many reasons, but they don’t get into tennis quite
like dogs. It has nothing to do with the
size of a tennis ball – a cat will destroy a sofa in a week or a few hours if
they take mind to it.
So what is it? Do
we make that little fuzzy yellow ball so enticing when our Border Collie or
Rottweiler is panting and drooling, waiting to play fetch, because of the way
we present the proposition with our voices, or do dogs truly love tennis balls.
Dogs love tennis.
Cats don’t.
P.S. If you have any stories or videos of cat's enjoying tennis or even a tennis ball, then let us know.
